The Orion String Quartet, formed in 1987, is one of North America’s most sought-after string quartets.  The quartet is well known for their diversity and innovation of repertoire, programming traditional classical works alongside pieces by living composers.  In addition to performing, the quartet members teach privately and coach chamber music at the Mannes College of Music, Curtis Institute of Music, the Juilliard School, Queens College, Rutgers University and the Bard College Conservatory of Music.
