One of the preeminent wind quintets in North America, Grammy nominated Imani Winds has received numerous awards including the 2007 ASCAP Award, and the 2002 CMA/ASCAP Award for Adventurous Programming.  Their mission to expand the wind quintet repertoire gives them widely diverse programs which include both traditional and contemporary works, newly commissioned pieces, and crossover selections. Their programs include elements of American, African, and Latin American music along with European musical traditions. The quintet actively offers educational programs and masterclasses across the country.
